What "verified" means here.
Every installer on this directory has passed the same public-record checks. Here is exactly what we check, and just as importantly, what we do not.
The checks we run
-
A real, registered NZ business
We look the business up on the public NZ registers (Companies Office / NZBN) and confirm it is actively trading under the name we list.
-
A verifiable public presence
A live website or an established public business profile that matches the business name, base location and services we list.
-
Starlink installation publicly offered
The business openly advertises Starlink or satellite dish installation as a service, not as a one-off favour.
-
Base location and coverage cross-checked
The base town and the regions we list them under come from their own published information, and we correct or remove listings when that changes.
-
Periodic re-checks
Listings are re-reviewed over time, and each listing shows the month we last verified it.
Being straight with you
What verified does not mean
We are a directory, not a licensing body. "Verified" means the business checks above passed. It does not mean we have inspected their workmanship, checked their insurance, or certified their qualifications. Ask the installer directly about insurance and relevant credentials for your job, exactly as you would with any tradesperson.
Something not right?
If a listing is out of date, or you have had a poor experience with a listed installer, tell us. We correct or remove listings on evidence.
